Heart of the Lakes is a handpicked collection of beautiful cottages all set within the breathtaking beauty of the Lake District National Park. Cottages can sleep from just two right up until twenty. Heart of the Lakes is slightly different than the majority of Westmorland’s customers – in that, they manage their properties on behalf of multiple owners. Their responsibility is not only to paying guests but on ensuring that they deliver a consistent and quality service for the owners they work for.
One word – Consistency. Sourcing high-quality linens and towels laundered to a regular high standard was proving to be extremely difficult. As the business operated 330 properties (the equivalent of a 750 bedroom hotel), sending someone to change sub-standard linens was a huge problem logistically. Despite many failed attempts to address the problem with their existing supplier, the team at Heart of the Lakes felt a change was needed.
Attention to detail and consistent laundry quality has ensured Westmorland and Heart of the Lakes partnership continues to go from strength to strength. The technical challenges of meeting their multi-site requirements have also led to some worthwhile innovations in Westmorland’s processes. Heart of the Lake’s has just recently signed a three-year contract and remain one of our biggest source of referrals for new customers.
